The Rapbrary’s mission is to preserve rap as a literary art form, where artists are seen as authors, and their stories as literature. The vision is that Rapbrary will function as a book sanctuary, keeping threatened and challenged stories by marginalized voices, safe and accessible.

RAPBRARY was conceived by rapper and librarian (the Rapbrarian) Roy Kinsey.  He believes literary and library spaces can be used to mold high functioning humans that live high quality lives and contribute to inclusive societies.

He believes his creative works touch the hearts of many because it comes from the heart. His professional development in librarianship has fueled his desire for self-examination, reporting his findings, in rhyme.
